Caravaggio: track the dark light

The project in the context of Digital Humanities results from the synergy between the living labs ERITAGE 2.0 and SIMULA. The pictorial behaviour of Caravaggio and the fruition experience of his works are explored through a device for monitoring the observer’s eye path (eye-tracker). The project is focused on the study of some of the Lombard painter’s works in ecological environment, i.e., in the context of the locations where the real paints are placed.

The first results of the experiment carried out in partnership with Museum of Pio Monte della Misericordia (Naples) have been documented in this video documentary produced by the living lab INTRECCI.
